Website Quality Assurance
Teaching and learning resources accepted for publication on the Provider
Toolkit website will be quality controlled by a workplace LLN specialist
and should normally meet the following criteria:

- are the original work of the person submitting the resource and do
not infringe copyright laws
- provide guidance on how they can be used and how learning can be
measured
- use content that is accurate, up-to-date and relevant to both the
learners’ and organisational needs
- have learning objectives that are mapped to one or more of the Adult
Core Curricula
- achieve impact e.g. through novelty, variety, attractive presentation,
appealing content
- expose learners to language, literacy and/or numeracy in authentic
use
- provide learners with opportunities to implement their learning
- take into account different learning styles
- take into account that learners have different backgrounds, motivations
for and attitudes towards learning
- help develop confidence in learners by using existing skills and
by not over-simplifying
- help the learner feel at ease i.e. do not always test, and do not
signal cultural, intellectual or linguistic superiority
- require and facilitate learner self-investment e.g. by topic control
- take into account that the positive effects of instruction can be
delayed
