Project HistorySupporting Entry to Employment (E2E)and workbased learning providers to deliver quality basic skills project funded by LSC South YorkshireSince work commenced in October 2003, a number of activities have been run for providers in the region and the project has involved:
From August 2004, a new ‘Skills for Life Professional and Development Network’ in South Yorkshire will co-ordinate all the support for Skills for Life provision across all the sectors funded by LSC South Yorkshire. In view of this, The Network’s contract was extended from the end of March until July 31st 2004 and in that time, the Network launched the new SfL Resource Centre at the Yorkshire Training Partnership (YTP) on the 10th June 2004. This was one of the outcomes of the very successful collaboration between YTP and Tooled Up for Basic Skills (TUBS) that began in the first phase of the project.
