BSA:The Basic Skills Agency - The BSA is a small, responsive, independent organisation, working with its funders, the Department for Education and Skills and the Welsh Assembly Government. It is a not-for-profit organisation and a charity.

CBI: Confederation of British Industry - They are the premier lobbying organisation for UK business on national and international issues. They work with the UK government, international legislators and policy-makers to help UK businesses compete effectively.

CLLP(Central London Learning Partnership) - CLLP works with stakeholders in post 16 learning and skills to combat inequality and to overcome barriers to learning opportunity and progression. QCA : Qualifications and Curriculum Authority - A guardian of standards in education and training. They work with others to maintain and develop the school curriculum and associated assessments, and to accredit and monitor qualifications in schools, colleges and at work.

Quality Improvement Agency - QIA has been set up by the government to create a strong strategic focus on improving quality throughout the sector. It is leading development of an integrated sector quality improvement strategy. Skills for Life Network - On-line news and information resource for Skills for Life Professionals. The fortnightly e-news updates contain a round up of the latest Skills for Life news, developments, events, resources and jobs.

Skills for Life Strategy Unit - The Unit is responsible for implementing 'Skills for Life', the national adult literacy, numeracy and language strategy.

Social Exclusion Unit - The Social Exclusion Unit was set up by the Prime Minister to help improve Government action to reduce social exclusion by producing 'joined-up solutions to joined-up problems'.
