Provider Toolkit: Setting Up Workplace Language, Literacy and Numeracy ProvisionThe aim of the Provider Toolkit website is to bring together a pool of resources for workplace language, literacy and numeracy (LLN) in order to make good practice freely available to practitioners, managers, learning representatives and brokers, and thereby avoid the need to ‘reinvent the wheel’. Following two previous rounds of funding from East Midlands Development Agency and the South East England Development Agency, maintenance and further development of the website is currently funded by the Department for Education and Skills. How does the website work? There are two main sections to the website, with both presenting a range
of guidelines, proformas, exemplar materials, case studies, and relevant
links to external websites. The first section is the Core Process, which
documents the process of setting up and running workplace LLN programmes
in detail, from building capacity, marketing and promotion, and needs
analysis, through to delivery and evaluation. The second main section
is The Vault, which focuses specifically on the teaching and learning
cycle, including a strong focus on embedded learning. Provider Toolkit resourcesAmong the many resources you can currently access on the website are:
