Our work to date

The Network first began to explore how the Regional Development team could support the development of workplace language, literacy and numeracy in the West Midlands as a result of the DfES –funded project Building Basic Skills in the Workplace Initiative 2000-2001. Since then a number of professional development courses have been delivered across the region, and The Network has recently completed an action research project into literacy, language and numeracy support in construction for the LSC Black Country.

The final report on the action research project on into literacy, language and numeracy support in construction for the LSC Black Country is now available. Copies of the executive summary and the full report can now be downloaded.
